Octagon is an album that is both borderline obsessive and bittersweet. A demented mixtape of Japanese and Korean pop set as the background to a new experimentation in music. With little vocal play by Kyle himself on this album, the warped samples stress a sort of mechanical sentiment to it, but Octagon plays out like the heart of a subtle embrace of a dream, telling a story that was once forgotten or a loving face no longer remembered. Equally haunting, bizarre, but always playful, endearing and sincere, the music of Young Henry is a nostalgic remembrance of past dwellings and always a constant step forward in further exploring the boundaries of music.
